Mobile marketing agency Aerodeon has caught the attention of the much sought after older market with its campaign for Ballantine’s Original Character Whisky in France.
The promotion, which gives consumers the chance to win tickets to a six nation rugby game in Scotland, proved to be extremely successful with the over 40’s. In compliance with strict French legislation, the date of birth of participants is captured when consumers register in order to filter out anyone under the age of 18. This data revealed that the average age of participants is 40.
Ballantines first consumer on-pack SMS campaign has therefore been a big hit, proving that SMS marketing is not limited to the 12-25 generation!

Nokia, the world leader in mobile communication and innovation, has partnered with mobile marketing specialist Aerodeon to launch a series of 3 highly interactive, groundbreaking mobile marketing campaigns in Turkey.
Each campaign highlights the creative, dynamic spirit of the brand:
1) MMS Greeting Card
This was the first MMS Campaign in Turkey! An MMS greetings card was sent to 29,047 and 8,092 Club Nokia Members at Kurban Bairam (a religious festival) and Valentines Day respectively.
2) M-Tickets
Club Nokia members were offered the chance to win an m-ticket to a Nokia sponsored festival by texting in the correct answer to a music related question. The first 1000 participants to respond won m-tickets, thereby gaining free entry to the festival
3) Interactive TV advertisement
A teaser SMS campaign was sent to the club Nokia database 2 hrs before the N-gage ad was due to be aired asking a specific question about the advertisement. Consumers were offered the chance to win a Nokia N-gage by texting in the correct answer to a shotcode. The campaign generated a huge response: over 10,000 entries were received in 3 hours.

Doritos, ‘everybody’s favourite snack’, has teamed up with mobile marketing agency Aerodeon to find a name for a new product variant being launched in Turkey.
This innovative and highly interactive on-pack SMS campaign, which launched on the 5th April 2004, gives the consumer the opportunity to name the new Doritos product. Consumers are invited to text in a unique code found on a scratch card within each pack together with their suggested name for the new product.
Prizes offered include: 1 Smart Roadster to be given to the overall winner, 3,800,000 SMS credits, 330,000 Shubuo Flirt Packages (market leader in subscription based VAS service that includes flirting tips, party schedules and love horoscopes).
In addition the overall winner will become a mini celebrity in Turkey: his/her photo will be printed on the pack of the new product for a month!
